Matt & Dana | Engagement

A couple that helped me kickstart my photography career as one of the first couples I shot that I didn't previous know (too) well. Not too long after our Adventure Session (https://kassidystrausephot.wixsite.com/home/post/matt-dana-white-cliffs-adventure-session), Matt proposed to Dana and I was grateful and surprised when they reached out about photographing their wedding! When my clients return to me again to trust me with capturing their biggest life moments, its the strangest combination of pride in building and continuing relationships (something that is very important to me) but humbled in my work and artistic style. If there is one take away my couples are left with after a session with me, I want it to be that they had fun and felt like themselves. Later, I can shock them with how absolutely amazing they looked in my lens. If you look back on the Adventure Session with these two, you'll notice a significant difference in my style. I am still working on curating a certain "look" that I feel is really me, but this session is getting pretty close I'd say.

I'm thrilled to share warm photos taken in 30 degree weather at Longwood Gardens in February. Winter light has become my new favorite thing.
