Matt & Dana | White Cliffs Adventure Session

This session is the first half of a back to back adventure session I planned at the White Cliffs in Lancaster. I put out an ask for any couples interested in modeling for me at this location. Its a beautiful spot and I was still working on getting some experience under my belt. Summer nights were the perfect time to practice and back to back sessions helped me learn what lighting I love to work with more.

One major thing I love about photography is how relational it is. This White Cliff location as one of my first locations I ever shot at had a huge impact on how I continued to pursue photography. At this location, there is about a mile and a half walk from the parking lot to the cliffs. That walk gave me the opportunity to talk to Matt and Dana, hear about how they met, how they started dating, learn what makes them laugh, what they love about each other. I want every session I do to be completely unique, like snowflakes. I'm passionate about photographing each personality and telling the story of that couple's relationship. The time it took to walk with them to the cliffs was intentional. This is the beginning of the story of Matt and Dana (who later reached out to me to photograph their engagement and wedding!)
